hydroponic is back. Happy after the first contest at jovoto they decided to launch a second round of THE HAUP for their Summer Collection 2010.
We love satisfied clients and we know the first contest was lots of fun for the community. You may ask yourself why we hesitate to launch another contest for hydroponic. And you’re right this time it is not as easy as last year, recession hit Spain and as hydroponic is a rather small (but cool) brand they have to cut down costs.
Usually a couple of thousand Euro are necessary to launch a contest at jovoto but at this moment hydroponic can only afford to pay 500€ for the contest prizes and 150€ for every design + a sample of the garment. Anyway they would love to work together with the community and they trust it’s potential.
We can’t make this decision at jovoto on our own. That is why we launched a poll, to ask if the community’s early birds and also the whole public would approve these really irregular contest-terms or not. The voting is open until this Sunday, 12pm! Vote now!
jovoto is about fair and fun contests and it is going to stay that way!
By the way jovoto will not earn a dime with the hydroponic contest! We offer to host it for free because we think that it will be a fun contest with a client who is truly believing in the jovoto concept. Hydroponic promises to buy at least 10 artworks form the community!

I think for a small and o.k. brand its okay. If the Deutsche Bahn would try this – no way!

I am having a fight with my flatmate about this question. She thinks that it might be unfair to let people work for less or no money. I kind of agree but at the end everyone has to decide for thyself.
I will participate because its fun and Hydroponic is an interesting brand. But I can understand people who won’t participate as well.
On the other hand we are from Brazil and working as a designer here isn’t often very well paid either.
So I am glad you guys came up with Jovoto.

As you might have heard before, jovoto is about fun and fair creative contests based on democratic decisions. This time you have also democratically decided that the hydroponic contest must be done, and so be it.
So we can happily announce the next hydroponic contest for their collection summer 2010.
