Voluma contest winners and another surprise for the community!

Here comes the official announcement of the winners of the Voluma contest! We took the time to meet Mr. Lindau, discussing the contest results, the entire process and possible next steps. And we have some REALLY GOOD NEWS: Mr. Lindau is so grateful for the good input he got from the entire community that he spontaneously decided to award EACH AND EVERYONE of those who participated in the Voluma-Contest with a 10,- EUR gift voucher for the iTunes store! We’re totally overwhelmed by this generosity and hope you are, too! You’ll here more on this soon.

But now here’s my quick review the 3 top ranking ideas, and a list f all six winners.

Winning idea: “Let’s combinate”

Squalidsketch’s idea stands out in its consequential adaptation onto various creative applications, such as these file cards and folded brochures. One if his first ideas was a giveaway, a pencil-sharpener in the shape of one of the Voluma elements, which the community loved, from where on he developed his design concept in which Voluma products are protagonists on a clean yet eelegant backdrop.

First Runner-Up: Grenzlenlos Gestalten // Limitless Design

Hellotommy’s submission is another very professioanlly developed idea. His design picks up the characteristic rounded corners of the Voluma elements and has found a very nice approach at visualizing the 3-dimensional space and combination of textures/materials which can be explored with Voluma. On top of this, he includes a nice example of a logo-retouching, adding more space in between the individual letters.

Second Runner-Up: Voluma neon – mitmachen und gewinnen

Connynaumann’s submission is a fantastic example of how ideas evolve in jovoto, with the help of the community and with the willingness of the author to keep improving the work. Connynaumann came up with a complex concept of cooperations, a new ‘neon’ line of Voluma elements and even a Voluma applicattion for the iphone, but what finally convinced the community was the fantastic design of complimentary colored cards, cataloges and books which sport a pattern made up of Voluma shapes.
