Meet the neighbors: new gallery opens on our street!
On a cigarette break a couple of days ago we noticed a new gallery right across from our office!
Kuma Gallery, as it’s called, is run by two women: Bianca Duclert is originally from France, and her partner Suvi Lehtinen from Finland and they’ve spent the recent years living in Brooklyn/NY. Obviously, the next logical step was to move on to Berlin, right?

We’re exited to have this new space right in front of our noses. Kuma will not only host exhibitions…
…but also concerts and artist talks – in fact, there will be a concert by a band calld Mary and the Baby Cheeses which we strongly consider seeing with the entire staff, curious to find out what the Baby Cheeses are all about.
I can honestly reccomend the current exhibition, which features site-specific installations by Swiss-born Jasmine Bertusi and Fritz Welch (USA). I especially enjoyed Jasmine’s work with little matchbox cars and aesthetically modified photographs of cars and streets.
