UNICEF contest starts – raise awareness for child rights!
Finally the contest begins! Starting now you can submit your ideas for the “UNICEF Child Rights Contest”.
This contest is not only about gathering ideas. Everyone can participate and support UNICEF to reach a broad audience and create awareness for the issue of child rights. With this contest, we have introduced the new category ‘public contests’. It means that the entire contest, as well as each idea in this contest, is visible to everyone and not only jovoto community members. Additionally, UNICEF has launched a Facebook page that offers live updates on the contest’s progress. And you can share and bookmark any page of the contest via twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, mr.wong or digg- helping UNICEF to spread the word about the importance of child rights.
As always, contest participants can win community prize money, but on top of that, UNICEF is giving out a complimentary award for the submission which is most adequately representing child rights from their point of view.
Since UNICEF is not allowed to hand out prize money, the complimentary award consists of a certificate and a donation of 1500€, which goes to one of UNICEF’s child projects in the name of the winner. So with your creativity you’re helping children who need your support badly. The complimentary award guarantees you a good visibility in the media and in case you don’t live too far away from Switzerland you’ll be invited to the award ceremony. And with some luck, this campaign will be put into practice in 2010. In this case, UNICEF would buy the rights to your idea for 1500€ and perhaps realize the campaign with your cooperation. So let’s go!
