Last week Valet Parking and more (VPM) picked a campaign concept, which was submitted during the VPM contest called The new drive by a jovoto member called Paulat. Paulat is an active member of jovoto and VPM is not the first client who appreciated his creativity. It is always great to see that things are being continued beyond jovoto.

Since jovoto is all about the ideas, after a contest it often happens that a client wants to meet the idea author personally to figure out possible next steps or just to get more info about the context of the submitted idea. We appreciate working with clients who decide to work with community members beyond the contests a lot. And we are happy that it tends to happen more and more.
It is funny on the other hand, that people ask us, why we don’t make money of this, since we’ve discovered the talent and created jobs via our platform. Well the answer it quite simple: Not everything is about the money!
Many of our community members think of jovoto as a new kind of (social) work environment, where not only money compensates their efforts. We realize that this motivates to often invest a lot of time working on jovoto projects and the results are heavy duty kick a** ideas. These extensive quality makes us want pay unlimited prize money but where to take if not to steal this money … instead of taking a cut of follow up projects.
And as I am writing about VPM and their contest I personally have to thank Valet Parking in my little sisters name, since she used the voucher for a free limousine ride, which Valet Parking kindly gave to me.
My little 15yrs old sister, who was visiting me in Berlin was at first totally confused as she expected a total different way to be fetched. A little frightened (my fault, because I didn’t tell her the exact details) of an unknown stranger in a black luxury car she was surprised by the refreshing humour and politeness of the driver which she mentioned about twenty times during her three day visit in Berlin. This reminds me of another idea submitted during the contest …

War selber überrascht, als die Anfrage kam. Es war ein sehr interessantes Gespräch mit VPM. Die Zukunft wird zeigen, welche tatsächliche partnerschaftliche Zusammenarbeit sich daraus entwickeln könnte. Es steckt aber sehr viel Potential in dieser Thematik und dem VPM-Team.
Auf alle Fälle hatte ich einen Grund mal wieder Berlin zu besuchen. Ich hoffe, ich lerne Berlin dadurch wieder regelmäßiger kennen.
Ich kann nur alle Kreativen ermutigen, weiter aktiv teilzunehmen. Wenn jemand eine Idee hat, diese weiter zu verfolgen und an sich und seiner Arbeit zu glauben. Auch wenn einige Kommentare oder Basher einen nicht immer dazu beflügeln. Seht jovoto auch als Spielwiese zum experimentieren oder ausprobieren von eigenen neuen Ideen.
Der Weg ist das Ziel. In diesem Sinne: Erfolg ist das was folgt und das sind Taten.
Werde sicherlich immer wieder mal mitmachen, kommentieren und voten, wenn es in das normale Tagesgeschäft passt.

Ja, die Anfrage kam unerwartet. Wie eine konkrete Zusammenarbeit aussehen könnte, ist noch unklar. Ich habe VPM in Berlin besucht und in einem sehr offenen und konstruktives Gespräch mit dem Team vor Ort, haben wir uns erst einmal kennen gelernt.
Es steckt sehr viel Potential in der Marke VPM. Wenn ich VPM auf deren erfolgreichen Weg mit Rat und Tat weiter begleiten kann, so wäre es natürlich auch eine Bestätigung der eigenen Arbeitsweise.
Ich kann nur alle Kreativen ermuntern, an Ihren Ideen zu glauben und weiter mit zu entwickeln. Auch wenn man nicht immer motivierende Kommentare bekommt bzw. mit Bashern zu tun hat.
Ich sehe jovoto auch als Möglichkeit, neue Dinge auszuprobieren, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen, neue Anregungen zu bekommen und werde immer mal wieder daran teilnehmen. Entweder durch konstruktive Kommentare, positive Bewertungen oder wenn die Zeit es zulässt, durch eigene Beiträge.
