Winners of the muenchen.de contest
The contest was a real quickie and hence we thought it’d make sense to also announce the winners quickly after the contest ended. Although the community only had 4 weeks to develop and submit logos for the online portal muenchen.de, the amazing number of submissions amounted to 136!!! Guys, this is a fantastic outcome! We’re glad you liked the task, here are the happy winners of the community rating:
Rank 1 goes to koschka with „The Pin“
This very versatile logo idea gives the opportunity to showcase different aspects and landmarks of Munich in one design approach. Starting with a pin shape, koschka together with the help of other community members developed the shape further and offered another version in the typically bavarian diamond shape. His abstracted and colorful motives represent all shades of the city. A deserved winner!
Rank two goes to idea_generation with „dachMarke“
dea_generation developed a visual framework that establishes a concise logo for the city of Munich. The abstracted letter “M“ works as a bridge and can be displayed in different colors to represent the different sections presented on the online portal. idea_generation too offered a refined version of his original design by switching the lines building the “M“ with dots – a clever link-up to the old logo of muenchen.de.
Rank 3 goes to Jean with „Magnifique München“
Nomen est omen – „Magnifique München“ stands for a charming and loosened up logo. Like idea_generation Jean is using the letter “M“ as the trademark, but he let’s it dissolve in low resolution, achieving a pixellated style that fits an online portal perfectly. Thanks to the grainy look the logo transports a positive idea of Munich as a city put together of several facets.
Congratulations to all winners! Watch out for the next logo contest – obviously there’s a lot of potential (as if we didn’t know before…)!
