Atoms & Bits Pt II: Jean-Luc Think Tank

In what now oddly feels like the prehistoric past, September 2009, we have reported about Berlin’s brand new festival of thinking, making and doing “Atoms & Bits”. Well, the festival crew around Berlin’s prominent power networker Sebatsian Sooth is back with a second round, or follow up, to their event.

The upcoming weekend, Jan 8th-10th, will see a concentrated visionary think-tank cryptically named ‘Jean-Luc and the Singularity in front of the wrong window’ (you can still register to participate!) and a public program with screenings and talks in the evening.

The questions put to discussion this weekend are those which will most likely be nagging us for as long as our species hangs around on this planet (or another). How will we live our lives, how will we work, love, consume, produce, get involved? How will art and culture evolve? How can we take influence on the shape of our future?

So, if you’re ready to get your mind working, exchange crazy thoughs and visionary ideas with others, please drop by at Hebbel am Ufer

In case you were asking yourself: this is all very interesting, but who the F*** is Jean-Luc?

Turns out that the organizers are simply paying tribute to their favorite Jean-Lucs, namely one JL Godard and one JL Picard. Sometimes answers can be that simple.
