Yesterday Apple released it’s newest innovation, the iPad. Apple’s new tablet-PC is nearly an allrounder, a phone-version will be available soon. The iPad has got a 9,7-inch display, the depth is half an inch and weights about 680 gram. It runs with a 1 GHz Apple A4 chip and has a capacity-range from 16 to 64 GB.

The iPad is capable of reading eBooks, the name of the new feature is iBooks. According to Apple, all the applications from the iPhone are working on the iPad. Almost 140,000 apps are available at the App Store.

The release-show yesterday night took place in San Francisco. Steve Jobs said, that the iPad ist he most important thing he ever did. Ist he iPad really necessary or just a nice gadget? It sure is a nice gadget to go or at home and it’s available for under 500 $ even though with the basic layout. If you guys want to know more about it, just watch the videos and read the describtion by Apple.

Top or flop? There are a lot of arguments at the moment about Apple’s youngest innovation. Some disadvantages from the iPad are now even more peculiar, than they were on the iPhone. For Example the missing support of Flash, this means that you can’t see a lot of videos or play Flashgames. We should judge by ourselves and see what the new Apple product will bring for the future.
