PayPal – Clarity Through Communication
The past years have brought about a renewed interest in the use of visual stories for conveying complex ideas and intricate concepts. With dwindling attention spans and mouse fingers poised to click, from big business to non-profits have embraced the value of clear and concise visual communication for conveying their messages.
This week’s brief from PayPal has two clear objectives: firstly, your opinion on PayPal’s most sellable qualities and secondly a way of presenting them. The benefits of the service are numerous, we’re interested to know which of them resonate with you and which you think are most beneficial to the end user. A clear communication relies on being concise yet at the same time comprehensive – that said they wouldn’t have come to the jovoto community if they weren’t looking for something entertaining and engaging. You’ve been given the freedom to create anything you can think of: an interactive experience, a video clip, an ‘elevator pitch’ or anything in between, so don’t hold back.
Below are a couple of videos for inspiration. All of them have struck a chord in the past year or two: some are entertaining, others engaging, some purely aesthetically pleasing. Please feel free to share yours in the comments section below.
TakePart: Participant Media – Waiting For ‘Superman’ – Infographic from Jr.canest on Vimeo.
The Story of Bottled Water from Free Range Studios on Vimeo.
Panasonic: Black from Nic Buckingham on Vimeo.
TELEPHONEME | MK12 from MK12 on Vimeo.
The above are animations, you’ll be able to present ideas, sketches, skits, storyboards, audio or films. We’re simply looking for an effective piece of communication.
And before I sign out, I’m Peter Gerber (a.k.a. Pedro El Niño), I’ve recently joined jovoto as a creative strategist, which means I’ll be acting as a kind of catalyst between yourselves and your clients.
Presto. Peter.
