Hello, hello!
Today we have another installment of getting to know your community with jovotans world wide! This community interview comes to you from, Kakel. Take it away Kathleen!
Tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, what are you doing?
My name is Kathleen, I am 25 years old and live in Quebec city, Canada. My first language is French, but I went to english schools most of my life. I finished my master in architecture last year and am currently doing my internship to become an architect and I simply love it. Being an architect is my life long dream, I just simply enjoy creating! Something else that I really enjoy is travelling. I went to study in Belgium 6 months 2 years ago and fell in love with Europe. Now whenever I get a chance, I just fly back to Europe and visit all the beautiful countries and cities. I just came back from Switzerland ! I saw the sold designs from the victorinex contest and really enjoyed that 
Is there any special story behind your username?
My username was actually my username at University, it is the combination of my name and family name. I had for 5 years for my studies and had a blast so I thought I could continue using it !
When designing where do you get your inspiration from?
Very good question! I usually read the brief and and idea pops automaticaly into my head and usually follow that idea and try to push it as much as I can. I would say I’m indirectly inspired from my environment, things I see, I read and I experience.
How would you describe the creative scene in your hometown or where you live now?
Quebec city is a medium sized peaceful city. I love it for it’s urban side but also mixed with the natural landscape. It changes very much throughout the seasons. In the summer it is very busy and filled with tourists from around the world. In fall the city is painted with colorful leaves. In winter the city becomes very quiet and extremely cold, can fall to -35 degrees celsius with the wind. Finally the spring is propbably my favorite season where everything comes back to life and we can enjoy maple syrup!
How did you find out about jovoto?
I randomly found jovoto when I was searching for architecture contests on the internet.
And what are your favorite types of jobs?
I seriously enjoy all the contests here on jovoto and actually discovered some new passions with logo, branding and graphic design!
Anything you want to share with the jovoto community?
I am really glad I found this awesome website, and also very proud to be part of this great creative community. Jovoto is a great way to create and get great feedback from the jovoto team and community. I also think it is great that the website is always trying to improve and make it easier and better for creatives. Thank you very much Jovoto and a big thanks to the community!
