Hey there,

Yesterday evening we had the chance to sit together with the SOZIALHELDEN at their very own hero headquarters in Berlin to get a little feedback about their running project, Be A Social Design Hero. I must say, they are very happy with your work so far. But don’t take it from me, here is what they had to say:

“Shortly after the start of the competition, we were very surprised by the quality of the submissions in the competition because it was not just sketches or mockups, but sophisticated ideas that go beyond a home page. We were also able to see interest and attention in the comments and found it great how you had given each other feedback, so much so that we almost couldn’t add anything else.

Like many other organizations, we are faced with the same problem: how can volunteers be recognized for their work? So in retrospect, because we are a nonprofit organization that can only work through the volunteer work of others we still wanted to give back by giving you personal feedback talk. We’d still like to offer to give each participant a contribution with a feedback talk by either a Google+ Hangout, Skype or email. We were so surprised and pleased by your dedication to this competition. Without your input, perhaps even in 5 years we would still have “the oldest page” on the net.

In general, all contributions were in the right direction- that the page should look simple and modern, and that’s why the second investigation is quite difficult. We then have to look into the technical feasibility, the cost (to create new images or continue to use old, etc.) and opperation (team vs. projects). We would like to continue working with the “chosen one” even after the end of the project, even if it was on a voluntary basis.

Now we are excited about what comes in the last days, but want to take this opportunity to thank you & jovoto once again for this inspiring competition!”
