tumblr #44
Hello everyone!
How are you all doing on this unregular thursay tumblr afternoon?
I just got back from my vacation this week, so I had to catch up with the latest posts. Cool stuff!
Do you remember last weeks video about “Humans of New York” aka. Brandon Stanton, the man behind it? So nice! It really makes me want to go outside with eyes wide open. The world out there is full of inspiration!
So I decided to dedicate this weeks post to the theme “Let’s go outside!”
Join me for a tour!
We start immdeiately, with walking through the streets. Looking to the left: just wall. A normal wall. With a funny history. Let me sum it up to you in pictures. Here’s what’s happened to it, thanks to Mobster:
Let’s go further. Oh look! Look up! It’s the “Power Tower Colossus” by DOMA
Standing at over 148 feet tall (ca. 45 m), this giant mech of an art sculpture is all suited up in shoulder spikes, eyes, heart and animated neon lights.
Now look down! Is that really… people… under water? With their clothes on? Having a conversation about life and cookies?

Not quite, it’s Swimming Pool by Leandro Erlich. A full size pool including a deck and a ladder. “When approached from the first floor, visitors were confronted with a surreal scene: people, fully clothed, can be seen standing, walking and breathing under the surface of the water. It was only when visitors entered the Duplex gallery from the basement that they recognized that the pool is empty, its construction a visual trick fashioned by the artist.”
And now, please excuse me, let’s take a break.
Oh no!!
It’s getting dark. Check out the Xiying Rainbow Bridge!
If you have always dreamed of walking on a rainbow.. here’s your chance!
This is it. Thanks for joining me! And sorry if I made you tired. Next time we might take a car.
Maybe this 1984 Ford Capri covered with 4,342 matchbox cars, by James R Ford, named General Carbuncle.
Until next week!

Great stuff Dora, thanks for sharing : )
Thanks Dora!
