Artificial Garden Licences
At jovoto the Textile Orbit, a carefully curated group of the best textile and pattern designers on the jovoto platform, kicked off with the first public textile design briefs in May 2015. The first brief, entitled ‘Artificial Garden’ asked designers on our platform to interpret the title in their own creative way and deliver print ready designs that would be sold to some of the biggest fashion brands on the market.
Over the course of 6 weeks a total of 890 designs in the ‘Artificial Garden’ project were submitted by top talent and after a long process we’re excited to finally announce the licensed ideas for the project. Check out the licensed designs here, any submissions with a blue check have been licensed by the client.
Fifteen fantastic designs (so far!) have been licensed by the client and have made their way into their portfolio. That’s exciting because it now means those ideas are shown to top fashion brands who buy from our client, a fashion industry supplier, and could mean you get to see your own designs in top highstreet stores or even runways.
When that happens the designer receives royalties to the amount of €0.20 per metre printed (up to 20,000m can be printed per design).
We’ve been overwhelmed by the quality of designs within the Textile Orbit and our client has obviously been impressed. We’re excited to see new ideas for upcoming projects and of course which designs get licensed by the client for other Textile Orbit projects: Chinoserie-Chic; Lacemaker; Work in Progress; and Barcode Deluxe.
Stay tuned for further licensed ideas and success stories and check out all the licensed ideas below.
