The betacup challenge was designed to reduce the 100 billion paper cups that find their way into a landfill each year. The public campaign format succeeded in generating 430 ideas along with over 5,000 comments on the jovoto platform and a further 10,000,000 media impressions as people discussed the ideas over a two month period. According to Jim Hanna of Starbucks, the betacup was “highly, highly successful”.

A global beverage company asked jovoto for a private challenge to rebrand one of its cans. The community was supported by a celebrated jury of well known agency creatives as they worked on a difficult brief for one of the world’s most iconic brands. Since this was a private contest, we will not be able to share further details of the result.


Triple 8 Brought A New Helmet Design To Market With The jovoto Community

Triple 8 found a lot of inspiration when they invited the jovoto community and other skateboarding fans to design a new skateboard helmet using the public campaign format. The result was not only a beautiful new design in the form of Balloon Robot, but also a revenue share arrangement with the community and a general increase in awareness of the Triple 8 brand as measured by Google search trends data.
