Brynn Evan’s was so nice to set aside some time and be the first to talk to us all in the series. For those of you that didn’t participated in it, Brynn was a jury member in the BetaCup contest. She was very excited to talk about her experience with the BetaCup and about co-creation.

” I mean life is about co-creation, is it not?!”

Brynn is a digital anthropologist, researcher and consultant among many other things, she is obsessed with the intersection of social networks and human behavior. You can all learn more about Brynn at  her website ! She also created a little comic when starting to think about the BetaCup concept and its main  goals…. You can find more of her comics here

‘Papel the Paper Cup’

The betacup’s goal is to eliminate paper cup consumption through the design of a more convenient alternative to the coffee mug.

With their strictly community-driven approach, they want to not only find a better and more sustainable way of drinking coffee by asking as many smart heads as possible for solutions, but they also wish to raise awareness for the problem via a range of social media channels.

And even the prize money for the best design is crowdfunded: everybody can make small (or larger) contributions. The neat thing is that you can track the funding process via this smart widget:
