Identity Inspiration for the Voluma contest
With the Voluma contest on the way, a task about updating brand identity, I’ve been browsing around for some stuff that might be inspiring.
There’s a site called Identityworks which reviews successful brand identity launches or relaunches. Their latest case study covers APOLLO, a tire manufacturer. APOLLO received a complete makeover, the new design doesn’t have much in common with the old design. (Something we should refrain from in this task

I especially like the abstract round shapes which aren’t really a logo but a nice example of recognizable but unobtrusive branding.

Get another quick injeciton of inspiration for business cards here, I especially liked this one by designer Mar Hernandez because it kind of reminds me of the idea of connecting and building with different materials.
