FAQs
What is the regular run-time for a creative contest?
Depending on the contest type you choose, a contest may run from four to six weeks.
When are the first results visible?
This depends on the complexity of your task. Search for a claim will yield faster results than for instance a logo design. Experience has shown, that you’ll get first results some 12 hours into the contest.
Does jovoto cooperate with agencies?
Yes, jovoto can be an interesting and helpful tool, particularly for agencies. We can provide screenings, which an agency – due to the lack of a ‘crowd’ and thus opinions – would not be able to offer. Depending on the task, we ask the community about preferences, ideas and opinions concerning your subject – this way, agencies planning campaign can gain valuable insights about impact and potential beforehand.
How are the rights of use transferred?
During a contest all rights remain with the creative. When the contest closes, our customers can purchase usage rights to an idea directly from the creative for a predetermined amount. jovoto prepares a license agreement. The license fee is paid direclty to the creative. For the mediation, jovoto charges 20% of the license fee.
Can I launch a contest while remaining anonymous?
Yes, of course. If the task which you present to the community works without mentioning your brand, you can remain anonymous.
Is jovoto an agency?
No, jovoto is not an agency. Our approach must be seen in the context of fundamental changes in work processes and work conditions today’s agencies are confronted with. jovoto provides an open space which overcomes entrance barriers leading to the rigid structures of the creative sector. jovoto can offer young talents opportunities to sell an idea and realize it in cooperation with our customer. In traditional structures this process is much more complicated.
We’re generally interested in jovoto and the idea behind it, but at the moment we do not seem to have any suitable task.
jovoto is happy to consult you – together we can find out what might me of interest to your company/agency in the future. Even if you do not intend on launching a contest right away, you are still welcome to contact us with your inquiries. Let yourself be inspired by some of the previous use-cases – you’ll find several examples over here.
If there’s anything left unanswered, we’re happy to talk to you in person.
