Collapsable coffee cup made out of canvas with interior lining to support hot liquids. Designed for easy portability, lightweight and reusable.
Once strap is positioned as shown, it will allow the cup to stay in its form until coffee is finished. After finishing the coffee, twist the top to close position so no remaining coffee spills out. Collapse the cup, secure the strap on the other end and you are ready to go. Place cup in your purse, bag or even coat pocket. You can rinse the cup later at another coffee shop, your workplace kitchen or when you get home.

@niceone-that's where the idea came from, however, I'm thinking less rigid as the link you sent. I'm looking into how the bladder of a Camelback water bag is constructed as well. Idea still in development. Thanks for you comment.

If sturdy enough, seems more natural to drink out of then some of the rigid telescoping options. A bit more specifics on the drinking experience would be helpful. Thanks a lot for submitting!

I like the idea of the idea behind this cup. Sort of like using the handle as the main structural element. I like it better than any of the collapsible cups presented so far. But silicone would probably work better.

This is an interesting concept, I'd love to see an actual mockup, you can learn a lot by just putting a rough model together. The handle is interesting (I do share the same concerns as others). If the handle were bowed (as shown in the collapsed diagram) and rigid you could flip it around to act as almost a cantilever to keep the cup erect when in use. Really creative concept and good luck!

Interesting approach - I had nearly forgotten the old leather canteen until I read its mention above. What a pity you couldn´t make a prototype - it´s always so much easier to imagine when you actually see something in practice...
