    I like it - having a 'birthday' of your mug may mean you'll take better care of it.

    -What incentive do I have to publish my location on facebook and twitter, or to take pictures and tell stories? Several of the questions that have come up here: http://www.jovoto.com/contests/drink-sustainably/ideas/4764

    -I can definitely see a segment of customers (college kids/unemployed) who will sit online and play games to get free coffee. How does Starbucks turn all this time spent on their site into something useful?

    @jblevinson: excellent feedback. The intention of this concept is to make the mug part of our social life, which will make the mug something valuable as well. If we consider foursquare, they does something similar where if a person visits a place and checks in, it allows an option to publish it to web. The moto behind tracking this is to reward the customer. Thats the hidden value in it. The same goes here. Writing stories, taking pictures, playing games are part of the social activities that gives the option to earn more reward points. Pretty simple.

    There are a number of entries that share some commonality with this idea. It has elements of story telling that, as you point out, are very powerful in engaging people. Might be worth checking through the other entries to see if there could be come interesting collaboration.

    Had I seen it earlier, we could have tried to do a collaboration, cause I like the game aspect you included. Well, I don´t need to say anything about the many unsolved questions there are - as I am very well aware of them in my own project... It´s a pity you didn´t work further on that gaming aspect - I think that would have been quite attractive.
