A simple and effective idea. I like the way you visualized this!

This idea is good. Would work only for the everyday, 4x cup coffee drinkers who would hold on to their cups all day. I think the cup would only be good for a couple of days.

Such a nice elaboration! Of course there are still a few unclear elements to an actual reuse-system.

This reminds me of - http://www.jovoto.com/contests/drink-sustainably/ideas/4941 - the exception punching takes the place of stamping cup. Unoriginal but nice approach. Also would not punching the cups lower rim weaken the same? Those lower rims are thick would you propose a punch to deal with this?

one of my favorites since it actually can be implemented with little effort but probably will drive a huge impact.

    Brilliant idea!!!

Streetable instantly.... The concept is outrageously simple... just switch out the punch for a embossment... doesn't create little punch-outs for the store to clean & keeps the cups integrity intact.

Perhaps make it two or three punches (or embossments!) to give the cup a chance of fulfilling it's mission & have it be a upgrade to a larger size or perhaps a specialty coffee??? By lowering the goal you will make it more attainable by most people & get more people to participate... perhaps you could even make it into something like Star Points, where there are things in the store that can only be bought with them...

    Cheers,
    John

Really enjoy this idea! Its wonderful to see something fresh and new, and not another edible/ collapsible/ Coffee-Ground cup. Our of all the projects Ive reviewed with my design team, yours is one of the select few that is actually realistic and implementable. Its very good that explored if a cup could be reused multiple times. I was wondering if you had a control cup, because I know from manufacturing methods, they can vary slightly in their paper to wax sealant ratio. ( Average wax weight density is .35 oz./ 96 GPU (Global Pulping Unit)) Once again, great concept, amazing execution. Grocery out!

Wonderful idea...Not only offers a great incentive for cup reuse but also encourages customer to return frequently to the same vendor to refill cup...Super marketing strategy for implementing company.

Fantastic idea- a good one that could be merged in with some of the other ideas already posted here. I wonder if Starbucks would be happy with the esthetics of having the holes punched into their cups- might it look a bit shabby?
