The Kug does away with the need for a kettle. You can use it instead of paper cups in coffee shops as it is a standard measure. You can heat up your drink when its get cold, or make a fresh one. The Kug is energy efficient because you can only heat the exact amount of water you are going to use unlike a kettle.
The Kug is a revolution in the world of hot beverages and is also the newest trend item that everyone is going to want to have. The Kug will come in different colours and can be personalised for user taste.
The idea with the Kug is that, along with being used as a travel mug and portable kettle, it can also be used in Starbucks and the like. Since you have it with you anyway you can have it filled up in Starbucks as it is a standard measure. Then take it with you and you can either heat up your drink again if it goes cold or when you return to work you can make a fresh cup of tea or coffee.

Fits in with the lifestyle, whilst also being energy efficient because it is cutting down on unnecessary water being boiled in kettles when only one cup is being made. Friendly to the environment all around, this is why we believe it is suitable for the competition. We think there is no reason why it shouldn't address more than just the paper cups problem.

Also, I am not convinced that I would feel secure sitting in a bus or on a subway next to someone who was boiling water in their own personal mug. Or, for that matter, driving on a freeway next to someone who had just heated their beverage up to scalding temperatures. Drivers are distracted enough even when they haven't just spilled a scalding liquid on themselves.
