good idea, but unfortunately people still forget their cups at home or offices all the time. It's mainly due to the fact that they generally drink only 2 cups a day.

Great idea - cleaning is a big barrier to people reusing mugs.

    - Does this technology exist? How much would have to be invented? Why silver nano-scrubber particles?

    - Are there similar devices on the market?

-What do you anticipate the cost would look like?

Are you swapping the positive environmental impact of travel mugs with the negative impact of inefficient energy/water use?

I was thinking the same thing(cup washer) this is not the" cure all" , but a step in the right direction. less disposable cups will be used as more conviniences are added for the consumer.

Any idea on the cost & potential uptake the idea may have? This helps us assess impact potential over the long haul.

@cbabyak - some reusable cups get put in dishwashers, and a lot are washed out by hand in an office sink - also not terribly efficient. Without centralizing washing at some level (difficult to do with customer's cups when customers are waiting in line) it's going to be difficult to reduce water and energy usage.

I really like the fact that you're addressing one of the main issues that people have with reusing mugs - the fact that they have to clean them. If this system could be made in such a way as to be efficient and eco-friendly, it could be absolutely fantastic.
