I was inspired to design The Daily Grind flask to provide a stylish alternative to the takeaway cup that reflected the care and passion that has been put into the preparation of the coffee. I was inspired to design a flask that not only performed better than the alternatives, but also enhanced the experience of this important daily ritual.
My intention is to create an object to enjoy - not only a functional vessel but something which is a pleasure to use and a pleasure to own. Functionally, the vacuum-sealed double wall design creates outstanding thermal insulation providing a cool touch exterior surface whilst keeping the contents hotter for a longer period.
Aesthetically the design seeks to enhance the ritual, enhance the experience and extend the enjoyment of the experience. Clever use of materials and manufacturing processes has allowed me to design a flask that performs better and looks better than any alternative available

The outer shell is a blow moulded clear PC or PET which gives good clarity like glass but has great impact resistance. The internal shell is a blow moulded plastic suitable for food contact. During assembly the air is removed from the cavity thus creating a vacumm chamber to increase thermal performance.
