In my opinion the classic packaging concept of a design including a product shot, the products logo and products title doesn't fit in this case that well.
I feel the brand like it's not that much about choosing the right cereal for breakfast, it's more about investing in something very personal: Investing in health, fitness and sustainability.
By naming the brand Mom's Healthy Secrets and the story told on the brands website, I get a message like "these products are not like those other contemporary mass producted products out there in the supermarket. These products come from a better time and were hand crafted personally back in the days."
But a typical retro inspired design wouldn't fit I think.
I think, the design of the packaging should be totally clear and transparent. It should communicate nothing like the things included in the product. I think in all that growing health and life-style market the most important thing is credibility and a strong self confident brand. I tried to build a design based only on the informations that might be interesting for me as a customer and those which are needed by law. No photos.
For the packaging itself I try to find a sustainable, cheap solution.
Sorry for my bad english…

also something to think about - in the US, organic/natural has a strong tie back to farmers markets, so reflecting the simpler packaging used in the markets might be an interesting angle - these are images from a market near where I live in NYC

Just a few suggestions:
You could sell the paper bag as designed like Mom's Lunch bag. For this reason I would also say to have a more clear design in the front and details in the back.
Secondly you could think about putting logo and/or information on a small label tag (http://www.weine-freudenreich.de/img/schildchen.gif).
Anyway I really like your concept!
