Background Info

CASIO is one of the internationally leading manufacturers of electronic consumer goods. Since CASIO´s foundation in 1957 and in accordance with its motto 'Creativity and Commitment' , the company has dedicated itself to create products which stand out through cutting-edge technology and innovative design.

CASIO was first to launch a compact Highspeed Camera (EX-F1), for consumers, in 2007. Back then it was the fastest digital camera in the world, with up to 60 high resolution shots per second, as well as highspeed-filming with up to 1.000 fps, which can be played back in ultra-slowmotion. With this, movements too fast to be seen by the human eye, can be captured.

Since the launching of highspeed photgraphy in 2007 the technology has advanced continuously. The EX-FH100, which is the focus of this contest, represents the third generation of the first highspeed camera and is the current flagship of the Exilim Highspeed series.

Presumably available in retail in April, the camera sports the following fetaures:
  • Highspeed Back-Illuminated CMOS-Sensor with 10,1 Megapixel
  • Highspeed-Multi-Shot and Highspeed-Filming
  • 10times optical zoom with mechanical image stabilzer and 24mm wide-angle lens
  • HD-Video recording and Mini HDMI interface
The market launch of the the Exilim EX-FH100 is going to be flanked by a suitable online campaign (Banner, Landingpage, Facebook-Fanpage).

Task Definition

For online promotion of the digital camera Exilim EX-FH100,  CASIO turns to you in search of refreshing new campaign ideas.

Main element of the campaign are banner ads with a corresponding landing page. Your submissions should include visuals of the banner(s) and landing page. 

The key creative idea at the core of your campaign should meet the following requirements:
  • Possiblities arising out of Highspeed-Photography and the resulting extra benefit should become obvious
  • The Exilim EX-FH100 and its technical innovations should be well presented

Make sure to point out the key USPs:
  • The EX-FH100 manages to capture the perfect moment, even under difficult conditions. (The perfect photo)
  • The EX-FH100 offers extrordinary image quality, thanks to a Back-Illuminated CMOS-Sensor and Highspeed functions such as Highspeed-Lighting.
If your campaign carries all that and only not encourages 'clicks', but also impresses, inspires, informs and fascinates - in short, wenn the potential customer is so thrilled by your Exilim-world that he or she'd much rather never leave it again (with the exception of going to the retailer) you've hit the bull's eye.

    anbei die Antworten auf die oben genannten Fragen:

    Damit wir die Banner in möglichst vielen Netzwerken sowie Europaweit einsetzen können, sollten sie nicht mehr als 40KB haben.

    Die EX-FH100 aus dem Briefing macht maximal 40 Fotos pro Sekunde. Die EX-F1, unsere erste Highspeed Kamera macht 60 Fotos pro Sekunde.
    Wenn es um die Kategorie Highspeedkameras von CASIO geht schreiben wir also "Serienbildaufnahmen mit bis zu 60 Fotos pro Sekunde". In diesem Fall bei der EX-FH100 sind es 40 Fotos pro Sekunde.
