Our main idea is an adaptation of the coloring book exercise 'follow the dots'. Instead of the usual child appropriate themes / motives we confront the observer with children engaged in labor. Often their lives are far from childs play.
The text and idea of the campaign allows the viewer to understand the problem , encourage them to participate and support the work of unicef.
While the main intention of the poster campaign is to irritate, other media forms are designed to embolden the user to join and fill in the lines themselves. The user chooses between a better or worse world for children.
Designed in a cooperation with Jeannette Corneille.

We also liked the idea best, that the user could decide which dots to connect and which path the kid's reality would turn into. That is why you don't connect the dots that form the children itself but the tool or thing he/she is involved with.
For the posters we thought it would be best, if the lines are already connected since it easier to see from far distance - but for other media it would be definitely better if there is a clear negative/positive solution that can be chosen by the viewer.
The boy that is carrying the water could then play with a horizontal bar and the kid with the trashbag would for example carry a violin. Unfortunatly we only included one example where we visualized that idea. In example #6 the postcard version of the main poster you can choose between red (carrying water) and blue dots (brighter future/playing boy) so far.
We would have liked to focus on these solutions more closely, but time was running out ......
