Help spread the word about health care reform that everyone can agree on. Really.
Background Info
The idea for ZocDoc (https://www.zocdoc.com/) came to Cyrus Massoumi after he burst his eardrum at the end of a cross-country flight. It took him four painful days to find a doctor with his insurance who was able to treat him. Sound familiar?
ZocDoc is the website to find doctors and make appointments online. Search by your insurance and your location, and ZocDoc gives you a list of the doctors who match what you’re looking for. Plus, ZocDoc provides doctor photos, education, patient reviews, and (here’s the best part) the doctors’ available appointment times. Click on a time, and the appointment is made. Just as easy as booking a flight, a hotel, movie tickets, etc.
Like any innovation, ZocDoc has a couple of enemies it needs to squash. Theirs are: Making a million phone calls, Waiting on hold, Confusing insurance directories and everyone’s low expectations of health care. But don’t worry - one by one, they´re
knocking them out. ZocDoc currently serves New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. The goal is to improve health care across the United States, and help people find the care they need when they need it. ZocDoc is a young startup with a lot of ambition. Their
Community Prize may not be the biggest, but their aspirations are. They hope that you’re inspired by their good cause in this task.
Task Definition
The cool thing about ZocDoc is that they do something everyone can agree on – help people find doctors in an easier, more convenient way. But first they need to spread the word about this revolution.
How?
Think about all possibilities to let people know about ZocDoc and it´s beneficial service.- you can think video, storyboard, scribble, or any other visualisation! ZocDoc can’t wait to see your creativity!
P.S. Having been around for just about 3 years now, they have some interesting stories that might help you understand ZocDoc a bit better. Feel free to incorporate any of these true stories in your idea. Or not. Whatever works for you. You´ll find some possible stories you can use under materials (ZocDoc Stories)
Target Group
- People aged 18 to 50
- Living in cities
- Convenience driven
- Living consciously
Tonality
- Clever
- Fun/Funny
- Sharp
- Relatable
- Engaging
- Web 2.0esque
Mandatory Requirements
If you do a video ZocDoc would prefer a video that is 90 seconds in length maximum, with 1 minute being preferable. Also ZocDoc likes you to include their logo – you can use it as much or as little as you like, but they want it to be clearly seen. Also, however easy it may be to invoke the stereotypical rude receptionist, they would rather you didn’t. Receptionists are our partners, and ZocDoc can assure you there are more wonderful people out there than you might think. Please keep this project positive.

why is zocdoc for foreign people? I havent got this out of the breefing and in the videos on zocdoc.com. and in my opinion it makes no sence just to concentrate just on foreign people.

you are right. There is nothing in the briefing about "foreign".
I did this association, because for me "foreign" is a metaphor for not informed about local conditions. If you know already whats going on in the surrounding, you are not foreign or new in business. I wanted to work with this picture in a exaggerated way.
I had this thought and some others after. That's all, .... isn't it? :)
