This idea works in conjunction with part 2: TERMINOLOGY OF CHILDREN‘S RIGHTS CONVENTION as defined by children around the world.
The idea is to give 10 children around the world a cell phone with a camera.
We will create a Facebook page called 'Unicef's World Children's Journal: Children’s rights shouldn’t be a foreign word!' and use the Unicef logo for the page image.
Here they will use their phone cameras to chronicle their daily lives and struggles
giving the world a unique first person view into their difficult worlds that we read about, but don't really understand. They can use pictures and optionally text.
We will create photo albums on the Facebook page with titles corresponding to the foreign words list and subtitles using the definitions coming from the 2nd part of the brief. The children will be assigned an english speaking guide and translator, who will teach them how to upload images and text to the appropriate folder (issues, foreign words, that are relevant to their lives).

We need individual stories we can relate to, because statements like the 'the children in Haiti' for ex. are too obtuse and easy to write off as opposed to getting involved with the intimate details of these children's lives. When people follow their stories and become involved in the narratives, they will likely be motivated to act and not just observe and pretend it's a problem that's 'over there' that has little to do with my life..
