I am Ben. From now on I will be with you for some projects on jovoto as your new creative guide (high fives). Back in the days, I used to work at jovoto as a designer and PR guy, before leaving in late 2012 to work on other projects myself, and now I am back. I am one of the few remaining Berliners living in Berlin, I was born and raised in Kreuzberg, home of jovoto.
First up for me, is the Read Local Crowdstorm with Passauer Neue Presse – a Bavarian newspaper is looking for creative ways to attract new readers and retain long-term subscribers.
I went to school in Berlin and even to university (Universität der Künste Berlin). But that doesn’t mean I‘ve never left my hometown! I love traveling and even spent a time living abroad in the U.A.E – and last year I traveled around Iceland & Canada for 3 months.
So what did I do for the last 3 years since leaving jovoto? I co-founded my own Startup – it was called 50HOURS and it was an app for iOS. The concept: last minute tickets in an app for your city and a personalised list of events. It was a great experience but unfortunately, the app failed. I also founded another company that is still running. We buy and sell used designer furniture through an online shop.
And I started consulting for other companies on marketing strategies, user experience, design, and communication. I’m continuing to do that at the moment as a freelancer. And that‘s how I ended up working for jovoto again 😀 And I am so happy to be able to work as a creative guide and see a lot of cool ideas made by you!
