In line with our mission to support independent designers around the world to connect, learn, and grow, we are excited to present a brand new initiative called jocademy (jovoto + academy= jocademy – see what we did there!).
What is jocademy?
jocademy is a new series of webinar-based sessions featuring leading designers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. In half-hour presentations on their area of expertise, they will be sharing their knowledge and giving insights on how to succeed as an independent designer in the digital age. Afterwards, you, the audience, will be invited to ask questions, discuss, and connect with the speaker.
First up: How to write sexy proposals that get you more clients with Lior Frenkel
If you work as an independent designer, chances are high that you’ve come across one of Lior’s many endeavours. He’s the co-founder and CEO of the nuSchool (ranked as one of the most promising design blogs by Forbes), the creator of Prospero – a magical proposal-generator for creatives, a mentor at The Designer’s Pricing Class and author of “Pay Me Or Else!” and “Value for Money” – both for creative freelancers. All in all, Lior is a freelance designer evangelist with loads of insights and tips to share.
In his jocademy session, Lior will focus on: “WHY writing proposals are important (hint: you get more clients and more money with a good proposal) and HOW you can do it yourself, with or without our help.”
When: Tuesday, the 7th of February at 3 PM (CET)
This webinar has already taken place. Feel free to download the presentation, rewatch the session, and share with your friends. Enjoy!
Teaser: Next up to on the 21st of February is Brad Weaver – Writer of the book “Creative Truth“, former Managing Partner and Chief Experience Officer at design agency Nine Labs and co-founder of The Banner Years. He sums up what he does like so: “I solve problems through Experience Design and Creative Direction. I write about it, talk about it, and teach it.”
