Sustainable construction
In the circumstance that the forest has been widely damaged and uncontrollably managed, the structure of the building made of bamboo is the most sustainable, rapidly renewable and low cost material. The bamboo structure inside the wall and covered by rice straw mixed with clay and a little amount of cement helps the house not be destroyed during raining or storm.
Great value for this kind of structure is to reduce exploitation of natural resources to make unsustainable and non-environment-friendly materials for the house which are very common in developing countries like India, South Afica and Brazil. For example, mixed wall will reduce using brick as the one of the main materials impact on environment causing ozone depletion and greenhouse effect.

Flexibility
Creel house provides a strategy for the City's development and at the same time a flexibility that cities need in lack of housing for current and future demands.
Creel housing is the design to satisfy the development of family during 20 years when the poor cannot build their house big enough for the future. Rooms in the house are able to move easily in case more space needed.

Sustainable community
This creel house provides standard of living for human occupants without reducing agriculture land. It is also part of sustainable eco urban key concept in developing countries.
Building the house on the poor�s vegetable fields is the idea for sustainable community. Inhabitants can afford the house without buying land. Moreover, they do not have to relocate their house far from their community so that their customs are not broken.
Building creel house is very easy so it encourages participation of community.

Sustainable ecology
There is the best practice for sustainable ecology in this area. This is the close circulation. Waste from inhabitant activities such as sewage will be treated and used to water vegetable. Organic waste and waste agriculture are used as materials for biomass energy.

Climate change adaptive housing
Cities in developing countries are at particular risk from climate hazards. The urban poor are typically at the highest risk in the event of natural disaster due to the location of low-income settlement. The most serious climate change impact in poor areas is inundation and storm.
The form of creel house is the dynamic form so it will minimize the impact of storm wind. The building is designed in order to float following water level rise of flooding. With this capacity, creel house group can be used as shelter for people when neighbourhood areas are flooded and electricity are cut off.

Future without fossil fuels
Fossil fuels using in this house is zero because solar panel and biogas as renewable energy used in this house is enough for the needs of members of the family. Even during storm or flooding they still have electricity from battery of accumulator of solar panel and have gas for cooking from biogas.

Food, water security
People of creel house groups must get clean water and food for using from their centrelized communal facility and their market but they can store amount of food, water in the house to use during worse storm occur. Bamboo structure of the house is used as vegetable trellis for people in flooding or storm days. Their house can be floated so that they can maintain their life until having some help from outside.

Low cost house
This is a very low cost house because almost of the materials such as bamboo, rice straw, etc used in this house are very cheap. Biogas is also very cheap and easy to build; household can build it by themselves but under instruction of manufacturer. Housing cost is able to be reduced by self-built of people because the house is very easy to build.
