The modular core represents the solution to providing the essential functions of a house at an economical and mass-produced level. The self-contained unit has facilities for cooking, washing, storage, and energy production with wiring and piping built-in. The unit itself makes use of recycled and sustainable materials for minimum local materials, techniques, and labor that can accommodate geographic, cultural, and social requirements and allows the community to build together.
The modular core concept assumes a basic cold water supply (garden hose at minimum).
