It is a house built by Modular Panels "Mimbrecrete Panel" These are inspired
by the hand of Wicker baskets manufactured in Chile by local artisans !
The panel mimics the way to weave wicker: This is a wooden frame reinforced with Bamboo rods, then weaves a mesh with clothing embedded in concrete. After setting the thin layer of concrete, can be mounting the panels to erect the house.
This module allows you to modify the house ... as a Slide Puzzle.
The panels are constructed with materials and local labor.
The openings are decided at work ... differing neighbor.
Panels are available or proposed?
How's the performancce as Roofing?
Panel are proposed ... is a thin layer of concrete, as a soft ondulate mesh ! The ondulate cover is inspired in ' Concrete Cloth ' but in a more traditional form ! The panels are very easy to build, would have create a handmade Prototype ... with his clothes embedded in concrete!
Imagine a traditional structure of Bamboo, cover with a flat Bamboo + plates Tetrapack !
Nice combination of materials. We like concrete cloth for infrastructure applicaitons too. Good luck.
Concrete Cloth material is not yet well explored .. but with great projection .. as light Construction !
Smart material choices, concrete and cloth I expected to be used more, it is a very versatile choice.
Needs a description please!
Read ... the written infirmacion drawings ! Take time to look :o/
And here is why jovoto needs a few different categories. This may be a really good building process. But it is only a process to build walls. It has no value by itself as a $300.00 house.
Jovoto need categorize ! The idea is use large panels to building floor ~ roof
I have a big doubt about concrete cloths. Cementpowder just mixed with water, without sand does not become very solid. You have to make the cement very liquid, so that the cloths can soak it up, but than it is even more weak.
This is really not a good technic to build a house with.
The compagny Knauff in Germany produced a fine net-curtain out of fibreglass and tigerplastic for this coal. The cement mixed with fine sand is pressed a bit in the net-curtain and becomes quit strong, but the product is not so cheap.
I'm sorry you didn't have enough time to finish your submission, I really like the idea of your panels and the fact you are using sustainable materials! I think your panels are a great example of versatile elements that can be improved in the course of time when families have a chance, Good luck :)
i think is realy good this dising but the bambo is not that easy to found in a poor countries of latin america, you can use other tipe of wood that apear in the country
Wood is plentiful in Latin America ... Bamboo exists in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela ... and other classes in Peru, Bolivia ... Chile
Am worried about the use of "lumber" and bamboo ... the termites will have a field day. I do like the idea of "weaving" the panels - and it doesn't really HAVE to be bamboo. That is good, and is something that can be done locally without supervision using local materials. Getting a project based on this to work is simple, easy to get going, and worth looking at .....
Termites are an annoying pest ... The Bamboo should be treated chemically :o! Could be pvc pipe, aluminum or paper ... !
the idea is very good bamboo is an abundant material and very resistant.
Very clear and concise sketches.
