Solution

the logo is not too colourful but includes all typical colours that are used in european landscape of flags. especially green has several meanings. it is a very strong and friendlfy colour. mostly known because of the play-ground. but it is also becoming a very popular colour in germany because of its ecological meaning and maybe also because of the typical classic away jerseys of the german national team. all used geometries are linked with the common geometries which are known from football, but they have been slightly modified to a modern look. the figure inside the circle/ball can be understood by different ways. on the one side, it is a typical pose for a shot/pass or even a tackling, on the other side it could be a cheering and respectful gesture to the fans.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

see above

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

the football player inside the circle/ball is in the focus. the colours of germany have become a logical arrangement on the outside of the circle/ball because they will be the host. all colours are melting in one another like the european cultures do since hundrets and thousands of years. the player inside is separated in segments. he can be only seen as one player, if you see all parts together. this is the meaning of europe. every segment can be seen as a country, and together, it is europe

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

Because its lines are clear and easy to follow. it is simply understandable and the colours are sorted to give germany a recognition value. there are several ways for further interpretation which allows everyone to be creative on this logo by his own way

HAVE YOU READ THE" GUIDELINES, REGULATIONS & COMMENTS" SECTION IN THE BRIEF AND IS THIS YOUR ORIGINAL WORK?
