Solution

The design is made up of shapes which resemble a person with their arms in the air and with foorball at the centre and a green pitch behind. This represents the German fans and also the coat of stars shows the EU element.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

I drew the designs out and then took them on to the computer to be rendered on illustrator

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

Hopefully all areas which were required in the brief have been covered in the final design, The shapes convey a sense of movemnt as well as representing the German fans and country by the colours used. Also the golden stars show the European involvment.

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

I think it is a simple but effective design that can be used on a broad range of merchandise and legal paperwork without being too distracting, and conveys the message of the game and Germany's hopes of winning the bid for the tournament.
