The diversity of German cities in German colours comprise a football player

Solution

Germany is not just a country but very diverse. This is symbolised by a football player in German colours who is made up by German cities. The colourful football player meets a classic black and white EURO GERMANY text. The EURO O symbolises a black-red-gold football, whereas black and white of course are the colours of the German national team. This should show that the whole country, not just DFB or football fans, are in favour of the EURO 2024, and the whole country is backing the German football players.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

I tried to work with the German colours as they themselves symbolise unity and freedom. Together with the motion of the football player, the result is a moving country towards the EURO.

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

The message is: 1 country, made up of many different diverse cities (and therefore people) is moving towards the EURO. Strong, confident, united in diversity and looking forward to meeting Eurpope in Germany.

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

I think I met all requierements. Moreover, the design is powerful and a bit different compare to the last years, where we usually could see a Euro cup together with national colours.
