The ribbon symbolizes the unity and cohesion of all the people involved in the tournament, by taking the shape of a football. The flying ribbon is also a symbol for the joy and fun in the football game (ribbons are oftenly used in carnivals for example). The colors represent of course the host-country Germany.

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

The logo transports the message of a joyfull and harmonic tournament in astetic but not overloaded way.
