I've used 17 circles to create a simple, but energetic figure. Together they make new shapes and colors, because that is what a community is all about: not just being together, but creating something new, that you can only create together.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design
I tried to stay away from to many colors, or to much German colors, because it's more about the sense of energy that I'm searching for. The 17 circles represent the soccerballs, for each championship. I've used only the yellow from the flag, because it's energetic, warm and positive. Welcoming. I also wanted to fuse the words with the symbol, to make one shape, one feeling. Felt beter instead of symbol and a tagline. With some imagination you can also find the shape of Germany itself.
Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design
I loved the mix between the community and the energy it should have. The power of the community ís about energy, and energy ís about things/people/etc. coming together. This is the reason I didn't want a symmetrical logo: a community is not symmetrical. It's divers.
Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?
I think it's a nice design, because of it's simplicity. It feels welcoming, positive. The creative approach is about being together, creating new experiences: let it happen. Also: because of the simple shapes and colors, it creates space for different usage of it. In animation for example. But also in use of content, photography, webdesign, print, etc. It doesn't have to stay in this form: it can live a little, move around.
