Solution

The shape of the ball is represented here engraved with silhouettes of three happy man forming the ball. The togetherness, joy, euphoria are brought from the figures of three people inside the ball. The ball is the connection between the competition and the euphoria. And the colors represent the host of the tournament.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

I created the logo using only circle shapes, so everything is geometrically correct. I used Adobe Illustrator as the tool to create it.
