Solution

A simple and powerful symbol of what is to come, what is to be expected and how exciting it will all be. Made to build up everyone's anticipation.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

I went for straight-up creating a visual representation of the love and happiness that revolve around football. Therefore, the logical step was to enclose everything (the game - represented by the ball, the fans - colourful ribbons, and the host flag - germany) in a heart shape. The enclosure signifies hospitality and gratitude from the host country which, implicitly, provides the fun and assures the enjoyment of every participant to the grand event. All for a great community.

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

Love and excitement is crearly signified by the heart outline which also contains the german flag colours. The football lies inside the heart, becoming a part of it. Showing openness towards the public, it invites the supporters (represented in the form of winding ribbons) to join the competition in the best way possible.

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

It's an honest logo, incorporating the pure essence of what this event means. With these attributes, it clearly states the chosen theme, being easily recognizable (in colour, monochrome and any size), with a message perfectly captured without the need of any other means of communication. Only by seeing the logo, everyone can tell what it represents and can connect to its purpose.

HAVE YOU READ THE" GUIDELINES, REGULATIONS & COMMENTS" SECTION IN THE BRIEF AND IS THIS YOUR ORIGINAL WORK?

Absolutely.

IF IT IS NOT YOUR ORIGINAL WORK, PLEASE LINK ALL STOCK, FONTS AND CREATIVE COMMONS MATERIAL HERE:

Everything you see is personal work. The only non-personal element is the free font used for the concept sheet: http://www.1001fonts.com/pecita-font.html
