I decided to go with line art , its abstract design allowed me to use the space I had within to create a person using the typography. I wanted to create something that I felt would be the visual identity of Germany for this competition using the colours of the national flag, I wanted to make this logo look like it could fit into any era of football and I think I have achieved that. I wanted to use lines as I feel it visually represents the connection that Germany wants to achieve through europe with this competition and with fans of football around the globe.
Solution
Please describe the creative approach you took to your design
I wanted to create a piece of line art that combined both typography and also trying to create a visual representation of a footballer within that typography, the lines representing the connection with the wider footballing world , welcoming fans and teams to the competition.
Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design
The colours helping to represent the German national flag to help symbolise where the competition will take place , the lines to represent a connection with fans and teams across europe , the footballer within the typography representing someone playing the game we all so dearly love.
Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?
I am an enormous football fan and an avid supporter as well as this I am also an student at university who has dreams as aspirations about becoming a graphic designer someday. For me to see my design across Europe and linked with such a prestigious event would be life changing and would also help act as the catalyst to helping me achieve my dream of becoming world renown for the work I do some day.
