What takes a national soccer team to victory? Power, identity, emotion and intelligence are the ingredients of success. The three stripes of steel represents the power and pride of the german nation. They go around the beating heart and protect it. The cornflower is a german cultural symbol of love. Here we have a cornflower shaped ball that symbolizes the love for soccer and the love it can bring uniting people. The beating heart from it's center is the symbol of euphoria that a soccer game can bring.

Game tactics are one of the keys for success. The center field and specific icons represent the tactical game. We have all the right ingredients so all we need to achieve is the most desired feeling of VICTORY represented by the rising stars.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

First of all I've made a search about the national symbols of Germany and I've found the cornflower and the story of it's symbol. I wanted to make a logo around the cornflower because it represents love. Starting from here I've made a story to symbolize the road to victory and the german nation.

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

The cornflower shaped ball and the flag represent Germany. The heart along the cornflower represent love and euphoria. The tactical symbols represent the intelligent game of soccer. All these symbols combine to reach the stars of victory.

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

I think that my design has a strong story and all the right elements to describe what the client wanted.
