Solution

The logo has the form of an oak leaf. The lower part of the leaf is represented by the football field and the upper part represents a group of supporters. In this way I wanted to express the unity between the people all over the Europe and the joy that football brings to them. Also, onther two elements of the logo are the german flag and a football ball, which associated with the oak leaf shows the passion that germans (and all europeans) have for this sport.

Please describe the creative approach you took to your design

The idea behind the logo is that football, such as the oak leaf, is a symbol for germans. The supporters represent the participant countries and the are united by the same passion, football.

Please explain how you incorporated the messages, values and mandatory elements outlined above into your design

Why should your design become the logo for the bidding phase?

Because the logo is simple and eye catching and it' shape and color incorporate the message that Germany want to show to the world.
