Solution

a abstract "24", which tells the year of that great competition and also the 24 nations that are part of it. it could also be seen as a waving man/woman. The colors of course relate to the German flag.

i thought that the "24" is a very important number, because of the double meaning (nations and year) so i wanted it to be a central part of the logo.
