This is a bold and unconventional design of a logo that dares to be different from the many available.
The design uses mainly a circle and a triangle, two very contrasting shapes (one sharp and angled, the other round and angle-less). The red circle represents the "ball" in football, but also the passionate hearts of the many fans. The triangle represents an open "pitch" in football, a ground open to all people, a place of community that welcomes fans all over Europe or even the world. The "ball" and "pitch" are both essence to playing football, without either one, a game will not be possible. Therefore, by combining the two very different shapes of "circle" and "triangle" to form a match of football, it symbolises football being a game that unites people of different cultures and backgrounds. It does not matter how different we are, for we all share the common enthusiasm for football. I believe the ability to unite is what makes football and this tournament unique and great.
The minimal swirls and curves illustrate the ball in action, showing dynamics and excitement of football. It brings along the message of "kicking off" as the "kick off" of a match, a tournament or a football festival is definitely the most anticipated moment for all fans.
Colour tone takes reference from the German colours, with red and golden-yellow as the key colour as they offer a vibrant and passionate sensation, giving the overall logo a sense of euphoria and happiness.
On top of that, from afar it has the silhouette of an excited fan with raised arms, while up close the design provide the number "24", which represents the year this tournament is takes place in and also the number of nations participating.
