I'll work it out and let the client decide which version they like or not ;) Maybe even a pre-printed version inluding a slide-in feature is even possible? ;)

Hallo Herr Schmid, bitte verstehen Sie mich nicht falsch, aber an sich kann man jede analoge Darstellung eines digitalen Inhalts auf eine E-Book-Card reduzieren.

Grundsätzlich Der Unterschied liegt in meinen Auge in der marketing-spezifischen Darstellung. Das im Briefing genannte Beispiel QLEEK ist im Endeffekt (zumindest im Buchladen und darauf bezieht sich dieser Contest) auch nur eine E-Book-Card in anderer Form. Wenn ich das Briefing richtig verstanden habe, sollen digitale Inhalte auf eine neue Art präsentiert ("Develop future-oriented and viable ideas for the physical presentation of digital publishing products and services in bookstores and at trade fairs.") werden und das noch dazu so kostengünstig wie möglich ("The cheaper and more technically simple your idea is to produce, the greater the chance it will have of being selected by the Future Forum!"). Wenn Sie eine komplett neue Funktionalität der bisherigen digitalen Inhalte (samt einer neuen Präsentation) wollen, dann sind hierzu sehr kostenintensive - zum Teil auch - gravierende Änderungen bei den digitalen Endgeräten nötig.

Spezifisch Meine Idee basiert darauf, dass der Kunde ein physikalisches (analoges) Produkt mit dem digitalen Inhalt zusammen kauft und es außerdem eine Zweitverwendung (hier: Smartphone/Tablet-Cover) erfährt. Der Kunde hat also mit dem Kauf des Produktes nicht nur eine "leblose" Karte (E-Book-Card) erstanden, sondern kann das Produkt auch zum Schutz seines ebook-Readers einsetzen. Parallel dazu agiert das Cover zusätzlich als Werbeträger nach außen - im Gegensatz zur bestehenden E-Book-Card, die öffentlich keiner zweiten Verwendung zuzuordnen ist. Meine Produkt-Idee enthält außerdem eine nicht zu unterschätzende "Social"-Komponente, denn wie im Web (Beispiel: Facebook) kann im realen Leben jeder sofort sehen, welches Buch mich derzeit interessiert - und damit bei anderen (z.B. im Café, am Strand, im Urlaub etc.) Interesse am Inhalt wecken oder gar zum Kauf anregen. Die existierenden E-Book-Cards kann man lediglich bei sich zu Hause sammeln - ist sicher ganz schön, aber hat keinen effektiven Zweit-Nutzen, geschweige denn einen werbewirksamen Nutzen.

Ich hoffe, ich konnte mit meine Erläuterungen haben den signifikanten Unterschied herausstellen?

Nein, es ist nicht nötig, dass Cover in jeder Größe und mit jedem Design vorrätig sein müssen. Genauso wie Du in jedem Elektronik-Laden (Media Markt, Saturn etc.) nur Cover für die am häufigsten verwendeten Handy-/Tablet-Modelle erhältst könnte der Buchhandel sich nur auf diese marktrelevanten Produkte konzentrieren. Das gleiche gilt für die Buchtitel - auch hier kann man sich auf die aktuell spannendsten Themen konzentrieren. Diese beiden Umstände reduzieren die Anzahl enorm. Für alle anderen Fälle (also Gerte oder Buchtitel, die eher seltener gewünscht werden) gibt es ja Gott sei Dank schon seit einigen Jahren ;) den Digitaldruck. Also wäre es ein leichtes geeignete Kooperationen mit Anbietern wie http://designskins.com/de/produkte?#CASE, http://www.sparfoto.de/smartcover.php oder anderen zu etablieren und dem Kunden am nächsten Tag das gedruckte Cover persönlich zusenden zu lassen (und schon wäre ein weiterer Service-Aspekt des Buchladens geschaffen).

Diese könnten sogar direkt vor Ort im Buchladen bedruckt werden, sind flexibel und könnten jederzeit (je nachdem, welches Buch man liest) ganz einfach ausgetauscht werden.

Ach, übrigens: Für spezielle Promotionzwecke kann der Autor dann das Handy-/Tablet-Cover ja auch noch vor Ort im Buchladen signieren. ... und schon wird's zu einem begehrten Sammlerstück. ;)
