Honestly, the aim here is to build a connection between soft goods and marketing them in a physical space. The obvious solution allows consumers to take the bookstore home with them, NetFlix style: develop custom iPad/iPad mini/tablet devices/programs that include thousands of title/subscription/digital services PRE-LOADED on the device (premium product, custom 'branded' carrying case, premium subscriber levels). They're already e-content consumers/readers so get out of their way: let them read!
What is the core principle of your idea?
This consumer is very educated/tech savvy, they should be rewarded for their awareness of a product/service/merchant by turning them into ambassadors. Pride in ownership of a premium iPad/tablet device (customized with top-drawer features: helluva sweet cover, custom software honed to their habits/preferences etc. REALLY reward them: award loyalty points for sharing socially, earn pay-it-forward tokens where they can 'gift' a titles to friends. Generate a community that connects physically too.
Can your idea be applied to different formats (in a bookstore, at a trade fair, at a conference)?
Would it be possible to turn your idea into a reality, or at least create a prototype of it, at short notice, i.e. by the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2014?
What do you estimate the costs for the prototype or the final implementation of your idea to be?
$20,000 - 30,000 CDN
