I am constantly running out of stuff to read. Amazon can only make suggestions if I buy there (which I don't), or based on single titles. Good Reads is cumbersome to use, and not geared toward buying. How I find new books? By asking friends - telling them which books I liked and why. So if a terminal takes a look at my ebook reader... it should be able to make a suggestion! Something I haven't on my reader, a new author that I haven't read yet, or a new episode in a series that I missed.

What is the core principle of your idea?

Make suggestions based on my current reading - making it easy to then browse suggestions, read excerpts - and then buy and load, all in one step.

Can your idea be applied to different formats (in a bookstore, at a trade fair, at a conference)?

I don't see this limited to the actual stores - but terminals would work a treat at airports, train stations, cafes... everywhere people take a moment to relax and read.

Would it be possible to turn your idea into a reality, or at least create a prototype of it, at short notice, i.e. by the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2014?
