Solution

A haptic book case, 10,2 cm x 16,5 cm x 1,27 cm, for display contains a chip with the entire text and images of a complete book in visual and audio form with a copy of the publisher’s application for reading or listening to the text. The book can also have a key to allow the particular book-chip to be loaded into a e-reader or other device. However, it cannot be played in another device without the key.

What is the core principle of your idea?

Publisher control of the physcial text without resort to download.

Can your idea be applied to different formats (in a bookstore, at a trade fair, at a conference)?

Yes, it is a complete virtual book.

Would it be possible to turn your idea into a reality, or at least create a prototype of it, at short notice, i.e. by the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2014?

Of course.

What do you estimate the costs for the prototype or the final implementation of your idea to be?

Hardware and software costs of 100 euros for 3-4 examples
