The lounge furniture items are cuboids which have a seat cove that can easily be printed in different book styles. They are very comfortable, placed on so called "EURO palette" and already used for fairs.
What is the core principle of your idea?
Cuboids which look like real books and have a print of the books. On the cover a QR code is additionally printed to get information about the corresponding book (may even be some sort of a tag). The lounge furniture may even easily be used in bookstores for customers as a relaxing place to sit on and read their books. Finally the cover of the seats can easily be replaced by the look of the desired book of the bookstore owner.
Can your idea be applied to different formats (in a bookstore, at a trade fair, at a conference)?
Sure - since they are already existing (general base design) and used for professional environments (e.g. fairs) they may even be used for bookstores.
Would it be possible to turn your idea into a reality, or at least create a prototype of it, at short notice, i.e. by the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2014?
Yes - a very good friend of mine produces these items (general base design) and the complete setup on the images can be delivered in short time. The print of the covers is also possible at any time and in any variation.
What do you estimate the costs for the prototype or the final implementation of your idea to be?
This depends on the amount of orders - but for a sample installation it is even possible to rent the items (except the printed covers).
